Future location Berlin Schöneweide: Elektropolis II

Max. 25 people – German language – Discover the historic start-up center of the Berlin electrical industry with its exciting history! On the guided tour you will experience the important industrial area in transition – towards a dynamic future location for science, production and art.

After an introduction with historical photos and background information in the industrial salon, the tour begins: along the impressive industrial facades, evidence of Berlin's "Electropolis" that once electrified the world. Behind them you will find hidden places, such as the historic AEG canteen. Part of the large cable factory is now being used as a modern campus for the HTW Berlin.

The goal of the tour is a monument of industrial culture: an impressive multi-story factory designed for automobile manufacturing by the industrial designer Peter Behrens. To round things off, you can enjoy the fantastic panorama of Berlin from the high tower terrace.

We are currently trying to arrange a visit to the AI laboratory at the nearby University of Applied Sciences for you at the end of the tour (information to follow).
